>> Wedding Crashers

Apparently girls are more open to offers at weddings. According to John Beckwith (Owen Wilson) and Jeremy Klein (Vince Vaughn), we all get caught up in the romantic atmosphere of the day: we tingle as the bride and groom share a lingering kiss at the altar, our eyes well with tears as they exchange rings and we swoon at the tender words of his speech as he talks about her beauty. Reduced to a starry eyed state by the nuptials, we become easy bait for roaming womanisers.

So women of the world, beware charming men at weddings - if they are anything like party animals John and Jeremy, you will only be Ms Right for a night. You can bet your last Rolo your Romeo will scarper as soon as he's had his fun.

Divorce mediators John and Jeremy have mastered the art of crashing weddings and find themselves at a different celebration each weekend. Guided by a secret set of wedding crashing rules, they position themselves for a good view of the bridesmaids during the ceremony. Picking their target, they go in for the kill, leaving a string of broken bridesmaid hearts in their wake. But things are about to change.

When John falls for Claire Cleary (Rachel McAdams), the engaged daughter of a prominent politician (Christopher Walken), the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury no less, he breaks the wedding crashing rules. Roped into spending a wild weekend at the family's grand waterfront estate, our cocky and happy-go-lucky twosome find themselves way over their heads and begin to wonder whether their crashing days might be over.

With Wedding Crashers, it appears that Vince Vaughn has been well and truly accepted into the Wilson-Stiller acting brotherhood. Having worked with the eccentric pair in Zoolander and Starsky and Hutch, then again with Ben Stiller in Dodgeball, a billing alongside Wilson once more makes him a permanent member of their comic circle.

Directed by David Dobkin who directed Wilson in Shanghai Nights, Wedding Crashers promises to be a great summer movie with comic capers a plenty, perfect for this time of year when cars decked in ribbons pass down country lanes with ever more frequency.

A final message for you hopeful males out there: if you can't make it to a wedding, you'll find females are more open to offers after a romantic (and funny) movie.
