>> FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER

PREPARE FOR ANOTHER DOSE OF MARVEL MAYHEM…

So you lapped up Spider-Man 3 and feel in need of another superhero fix? Hot on the heels of the web wonder comes Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - another summer sequel to satisfy your action appetite. And this installment promises to be better than the 2005 original, which introduced those of us unfamilar with the bewildering world of Marvel comics to the first family of superheroes.

Tim Story is back in the director’s chair, hitting us with action scene after action scene from the start.

Reed Richards (Gruffudd) and Sue Storm (Alba) have barely tied the knot when the Silver Surfer (Jones) gatecrashes the nuptials, introducing himself as the new super-power being on the block. As his stretchy alterego Mr Fantastic, Reed leads his new Mrs, the Invisible Woman, steaming hot Johnny the Human Torch (Evans) and Ben the monstrously strong Thing (Chiklis) in a mission to save the world. The foursome have to learn all they can about the Silver Surfer as quickly as possible while dealing with their powers changing from one to the other. It certainly is their toughest challenge yet.

Right when they think things can’t get any worse, their old enemy Dr Doom (McMahon) bounces back from his frozen demise, forcing the Fantastic Four to turn to their newest enemy for help. Oo-err missus.

Throwing fight scenes, adrenaline- spliced action, mesmerising visuals and a good measure of romance into the mix, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer looks set to be the superhero sensation of the summer.

If the plot and promise of breathtaking action sequences doesn’t get your pulse thumping, maybe the abundance of top totty will - I can promise Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Ioan Gruffudd clad in arguably over tight lycra numbers. Yummy.
