Better video for mobile phones is now possible for YouTube users, who now have the option of applying Instagram-like effects on their videos. The new editing feature enables image stabilization, cropping and many other effects which are simple for anyone to apply. The advanced stabilization feature can go a long way towards removing the annoying shaking from video uploads. This will help immensely in making mobile phone amateur video footage a lot more watchable.

However, in the past this technology has needed a lot of system resources to operate. The latest version from Google engineers, however, takes a new approach which is much less resource intensive. It will be featured on the YouTube video page under a button called "Edit Video". Users will find a verity of filters and other editing tools which they can apply to their videos prior to upload.

Traveling…the Tablet Way!

Traveling…the Tablet Way!

I've finally fully appreciated how useful tablets are. The other night, my flatmate saw this video on the uses for the Samsung Galaxy Tab, for example, and called me over to see it. I could really see how useful tablets must be, especially while traveling because they seem to span the perfect range of features between a laptop and a smartphone. My flatmate was noticing how they're just the right size, not too heavy or bulky while, at the same time, they provide a bigger, more useable and enjoyable screen than a smartphone. As I was realizing this, I felt like a tech world version of Goldilocks! Speaking of which, seems that's how Cat Deeley might feel, too!

I think when I go on my next trip, I'd really like to have a tablet with me, for the video and photo uses, as well as staying in touch via Skype, and also listening to my music. I could also keep notes about the trip, etc. It could be like a digital diary…that I could also immediately share with my family and friends back home, or wherever they themselves may be! I think I'd even load some books onto it to take with me. Don't get me wrong, I really love books themselves, but when traveling, being able to read from a tablet would not only spare some weight and save some room in my bag, but I could also bring more than one book to choose from. Of course, this could also mean a guidebook or two for use on the trip. That means only one item in my day-bag to carry around! Yes, a tablet it is juuuuuuuust right!

YouTube Video On Mobile Phones Makes Top 25 iTunes

Rebecca Black is a 13-year-old who used some money from her parents to make a music video called "Friday", a song about partying that she wrote herself which has caught many users on their mobile phones. Her music video took off on YouTube, where it went from 4,000 to70,000 views in one evening, and now has more than 22 million. Not only that, but her song has reached the top 25 iTunes, going as high as No. 19 at one point.

So it is hard to understand why along with this sudden fame she has received so many incredibly nasty comments and emails, including one charmer which said "I hope you cut yourself and I hope you get an eating disorder so you'll look pretty." Many were critical of her song and voice, which are certainly not the best but not the worst either. It's hard not to reach the conclusion that this large web-mob of haters has decided to display its self-loathing through these unwarranted attacks on a teenage girl.
